Welcome to AP5 (Business) with Les Barclay

Welcome students to what is hopefully your last ESL class before entering graduate business studies.   Some of you are already well ensconced studying in Canada at Vancouver Island University, while for others this may be a very new learning and living experience.

AP5 is a very challenging course that will focus on getting you to think and analyse, then effectively communicate this to others in writing and speaking.   Many of you will be refining  your skills rather than learning something entirely new.   You will have to balance these ideas and skills with what you already know and can do.     Independent and group work are both important components of this course.   Being able to manage your own learning is critical.   Knowing the right tools to assist you in this is also important.
