These assignments for the week will usually go up on the blog on Friday, to give you an opportunity to plan your next week. Please don't leave things to the last minute as it is often difficult to know how long a reading or writing assignment will take.

- Essay Essentials (EE) -- introduction, chapters 6 & 7 (due by Mon., Jan.14th)
- Personal Speaking Assignment (due Jan.15th)
You are in class for four hours a day. At university in Canada it's expected that one hour of class time is matched by one hour of personal study -- not necessarily the same day and varying according to assignments and planning. A workday in Canada is usually eight hours. A study day is no different. (If you wish to succeed.)
